- Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
GFA has performed thousands of Phase I Envronmental Site Assessments on all types of properties. Our licensed environmental professionals are fully qualified to conduct Phase I assessments in accordance with the EPA's new "All Appropriate Inquiry" rules as per ASTM E1527-05 Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments.
- Phase II Environmental Assessments
The Phase II Environmental Site Assessment addresses recognized environmental conditions identified in the Phase I, typically through the collection and laboratory analysis of soil and/or groundwater samples. GFA has the personnel and experience to perform soil and groundwater assessments quickly, safely and cost effectively.
- Contamination Assessments / Site Assessment Reports
Contaminants in soil and groundwater must be vertically and horizontally assessed to satisfy the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (FDEP) requirements. GFA has performed numerous site assessments that accurately delineate the extent of impacts to soil and groundwater and gained numerous Site Assessment Report approvals from the FDEP.
- Remedial Action Planning
If contaminants in soil and/or groundwater are present in concentrations that threaten Florida’s natural resources, the Professionals at GFA have the expertise and experience to mitigate these threats through proven and innovative technologies.
- Underground Storage Tank Removal and Tank Closure Assessments
GFA can provide storage tank removal, tank closure assessments, and implement the necessary remedial solutions required to receive a “no further action” order from the FDEP. GFA has extensive experience in the closure and removal of storage systems.
- Environmental Drilling
GFA can offer a full line of environmental drilling services through our affiliates and subcontractors, including shallow and deep monitoring well installation, split spoon sampling and direct push soil and groundwater and micro-well installation.
- Groundwater, Drinking water, Waste water, Soil, and Sediment sampling
In accordance with Florida Department of Environmental Protection Standard Operating Procedures for Field Sample Collection (DEP-SOP – 001/01). All samples collected by GFA International are only analyzed by Florida DOH and National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation (NELAC) certified laboratories.)
- Professional Consulting
From Waste Minimization and Recycling to Groundwater Modeling, GFA’s Environmental professionals have diverse backgrounds, allowing us to offer consulting services for numerous disciplines. In addition, GFA personnel are thoroughly familiar with the regulatory codes governing environmentally sensitive sites, and often represent our clients with Local, State and Federal regulatory agencies.
In addition to these commonly provided services, GFA International also routinely provides Asbestos Containing Materials, and Lead-Based Paint Surveys, Radon and Mold Indoor Air Quality Surveys, Wetlands Delineations, Threatened/Endangered Species Assessments, Drycleaner Compliance Evaluation Inspections and Emergency Response Assessments and Initial Remedial Actions.
